In Case You Had Any Doubt...

Yes, we are nerds. I do not deny it.

While in Florida, we had most of the day open before our flight departed in the evening, so we headed over to the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral... Wearing matching NASA t-shirts nonetheles (Thank you Target.) I debated if wearing the matching shirts was too much, but we decided to embrace the full nerd-factor of the whole day and go with it.

The classic logo... love this.
The Rocket Garden...

We attended a brief lecture by Sky Lab Astronaut Bill Pogue, who in all has spent 84 days in space.

An exact full-size replica of the Explorer shuttle, which we were able to go in and see the cargo bay, cockpit, etc....

This is a great 1 day outing if you are in the Orlando area- especially if you are interested in NASA (duh) or have kids. We recommed it. Oh... and they have an awesome gift shop too :)

New Portraits...

It's so hard to choose which portraits to buy on a cruise, because they take a ton. And then they reeeeaaally tempt you by printing them up all big and glossy for you to see in person whether you are buying them or not. If you don't want to fork over $20 for the already printed photos, they throw them in the garbage. Seems like a big waste to me. Anyway... I limited myself to 2 selections, 1 formal and 1 casual.

Just Because...

Since Jim's out of town, I was going through some papers and organizing a little, and I came across this photo of you know who.... Look at that face! :)

Two Gigs...

Jim is wasting no time being back in Pittsburgh before leaving for his latest musical road trip. He & Matt (also known as Cephas & Milo) will be playing a warm up show this Friday from 2-4pm at Big Dog Coffee on Sarah Street in the Southside (just off Carson near American Eagle). They would love to see you there if you can make it.

On Saturday, they'll be heading to the Western Maryland Blues Fest for a performance. Click here to read the newspaper article about his show this weekend.

These guys only play together about once a year, so don't miss your chance to see them!
